The Four Last Things: What Happens When We Die?

Life & Learning @ Ludlow

Thursday 21 November
10:00am — 12:00noon

Ludlow Mascall Centre

A lecture by Revd Canon Anna Matthews

Throughout November and into Advent, the church reflects on what have traditionally been called ‘the Four Last Things’: death, judgement, heaven and hell. Exploring what the scriptures and the tradition of the church have to say about these subjects, and drawing on their persistence in contemporary culture, this lecture will explore what these themes have meant, and what they might continue to mean for us today.

The Revd Canon Anna Matthews is Vicar of St Benet's, in the centre of Cambridge. Until recently she was also Director of Ordinands for the Diocese of Ely. Before that she spent six years as a Minor Canon at St Albans Cathedral.

Tickets: £8.00 (including morning coffee)

Places must be booked in advance. Registration form available at HERE or by phoning 01584 872073.
