A series of lectures by
Revd Canon Dr Maureen Palmer

In this course we shall examine some of the Biblical texts which may inform our understanding of the problems and then suggest ways in which we can be helped to understand the crisis and what we might be able to do about it.

  • Session 1: Creation and Stewardship: Creation in Chaos
  • Session 2: Covenant and Relationship: The inter-relatedness of the whole created order
  • Session 3: Ethics of Global Warming.
  • Session 4: Hope or Despair? What is the future and what can we do?
  • The Revd Canon Dr Maureen F Palmer is an Anglican priest but began her career as a zoologist/physiologist, and as such has a deep passion for the ecological well-being of our planet. Over the years she has studied ecosystems both at home and in far-flung places. She is a member of the Society of Ordained Scientists — a Fellowship of people who are both ordained and have worked in a variety of disciplines in science.
