Pitchford Hall: ‘The most splendid piece
of black-and-white building in Shropshire.’

Ludlow Lectures

Tuesday 3 March at 10:00am

St Laurence, Ludlow

Speaker: Duncan James

Pitchford Hall is a 16th century timber-framed house with fascinating links to an important Shrewsbury school of carpentry. The building is on a large scale and appears to incorporate fragments of a 13th century medieval hall house.

Over the last 20 years, Duncan James has been recording, analysing and writing about buildings in Herefordshire and the surrounding counties, specialising in the study of timber-framed structures.

Tickets: £5 at the door
