In January 2017, Teme valley based artist Shelly Perkins embarked on a voyage to the Antarctic as Artist in residence on the Royal Navy's ice breaking ship HMS Protector. Shelly's talk shares her experiences of life on board a military vessel, as she toured the Antarctic peninsula for six weeks, through her pictures, sketches and finished artworks.
